Open our eyes and ears! (Isaiah 42)
The most important thing in our spiritual growth is not just to read bible much or have much prayer time. Even though we make every effort to obey spiritual rules, if we close our eyes and ears to God, we cannot see the Glory of God. Without opening eyes and ears, all the effort and work we do couldn't change our heart and lives at all.
"Hear, you deaf; look, you blind, and see! ... You have seen many things, but have paid no attention; your ears are open, but you hear nothing." (Isa42:18,20)
Who is blind but my servant, and deaf like the messenger I send? Who is blind like the one committed to me, blind like the servant of the LORD? (Isa42:19)
Those who looked passionate for God's work - Lord's servants and God's messangers, were the blind and the deaf. The reason is their closed eyes and ears to God.
Now people see what they want to see and listen to what they want to hear. In such a world, God eagarly serches for those who expect to see God's glory and to listen carefully God's voice.
For the eyes of the LORD range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him. (2Ch16:9)
I hope to live opening my eyes and ears to God. Whatever God said to me, I want to obey His words. And whatever God show me, I want to praise Him with all my hearts.
I really want to be the very person that God is eagarly searching for.
Prayer
My dear Lord, I really often see the world and listen to my sinful desires in my body. I believe that You are searching for the man who always see the Lord and expect to hear Your voice. Please fill up my life by Your grace, words and Holy spirit. Protect me from complaints, worldly news and sinful desire. Strengthen me to live a life full of heavenly blessings.
Today I learned that I should keep my eyes and ears well. Lord, I close my eyes and ears from the world, and open them to You. I want to live in Your presence all the time. Please help me and lead my life to Your throne. I prayed in Jesus' name. Amen!
