Open our eyes and ears! (Isaiah 42)
The most important thing in our spiritual growth is not just to read bible much or have much prayer time. Even though we make every effort to obey spiritual rules, if we close our eyes and ears to God, we cannot see the Glory of God. Without opening eyes and ears, all the effort and work we do couldn't change our heart and lives at all. "Hear, you deaf; look, you blind, and see! ... You have seen many things, but have paid no attention; your ears are open, but you hear nothing." (Isa42:18,20) Who is blind but my servant, and deaf like the messenger I send? Who is blind like the one committed to me, blind like the servant of the LORD? (Isa42:19) Those who looked passionate for God's work - Lord's servants and God's messangers, were the blind and the deaf. The reason is their closed eyes and ears to God.
