Before we kneel down, the Lord knelt down first. (Isaiah 45)

Turn to me and be saved, all you ends of the earth; for I am God, and there is no other. By myself I have sworn, my mouth has uttered in all integrity a word that will not be revoked: Before me every knee will bow; by me every tongue will swear. (Isa45:22-23) In the future, all the nations will return to the Lord and kneel before God, and they will say "Jesus Christ is our Lord!" But before that happened, the Lord knelt down first. He completely knelt down to bear all my sins and offer an eternal atonement service in front of God's righteous trial. (Philipians 2:5-8) And He also knelt down before us who had continued to walk our ways stuburnly, as He called out "Return to me, My sons." with His arms stretching out all day long. (Romans5:8) Jesus Christ was able to be the only mediator between God and man, because He knelt down in front of God and sinners with humble attitude. who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. For there is one...

O Israel, I will not forget you! (Isaiah44)

이미지
"Remember these things, O Jacob, for you are my servant, O Israel. I have made you, you are my servant; O Israel, I will not forget you. I have swept away your offenses like a cloud, your sins like the morning mist. Return to me, for I have redeemed you." (Isa44:21-22) Israel was the people selected by God for the purpose of saving all over the world from sin. But What they had done until then were disobedience, rebel, immorality and idol worship. God gave them His law because He want to let them realize their sins. And He sent His prophets to them continuously in order to make them turn back from rebellious ways. But they didn't recognize their sins and continued to their own ways stubbornly. Nevertheless God laid down all His self respect and confessed to Israel like this. "I will not forget you. Return to me, for I have redeemed you." But Israel people nailed Jesus the Son of God on the cross - who has come to the earth wearing man's body. They commit...

The importance of repentance (Isaiah 43)

이미지
If we go the wrong way while driving accorging to the navigation, the device searches and directs us a new way right now. It will never rebuke or be angry with me because of my mistake. The only thing I have to do is to obey and drive to the new way as it shows. If we ignore that way and drive as I think, it takes so much time to go to a destination and I'd lose our precious time.  The life following Jesus is like this. The Holy Spirit is the navigation of my life. He knows my whole journey of life exactly, and guides me to the best way. If I lose my way because of my mistakes, He shows me a new way again and leads my life to the righteous way in God's presence. Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland. (Isa43:18-19) God tells me not to remember the former things and dwell on the past. He encourages me to just obey and follow the new...

Open our eyes and ears! (Isaiah 42)

이미지
The most important thing in our spiritual growth is not just to read bible much or have much prayer time. Even though we make every effort to obey spiritual rules, if we close our eyes and ears to God, we cannot see the Glory of God. Without opening eyes and ears, all the effort and work we do couldn't change our heart and lives at all. "Hear, you deaf; look, you blind, and see! ... You have seen many things, but have paid no attention; your ears are open, but you hear nothing." (Isa42:18,20) Who is blind but my servant, and deaf like the messenger I send? Who is blind like the one committed to me, blind like the servant of the LORD? (Isa42:19) Those who looked passionate for God's work - Lord's servants and God's messangers, were the blind and the deaf. The reason is their closed eyes and ears to God. Now people see what they want to see and listen to what they want to hear. In such a world, God eagarly serches for those who expect to see God's glory and...

Grace flows to a low place (Isaiah 41)

The poor and needy search for water, but there is none; their tongues are parched with thirst. But I the LORD will answer them; I, the God of Israel, will not forsake them. I will make rivers flow on barren heights, and springs within the valleys. I will turn the desert into pools of water, and the parched ground into springs. (Isa41:17-18) A stream of God's grace flows to a low place.  It flows into hearts of the poor, needy and thirsty, so as to stay in their eager souls. The water overflows to become a river and makes springs within valley. And it changed the wilderness to pools of water and the dry land to water sources.  This is the way how God's grace overflows to all over the world. God's grace never stay in arrogant and proud hearts. Even though God gives grace to them, they can't enjoy even a drop of it.  I understand why Jesus said that the poor in spirit and those who hunger and thirst for righteousness were blessed in 8 blessings in the summon on the mountai...
